Day 1 - Istanbul
Day 2 - Istanbul
Today’s panoramic tour takes you to the Hippodrome; the Blue Mosque, with its distinctive minarets and blue Iznik tile walls; spectacular Hagia Sophia, the “Church of Holy Wisdom,” which was built in 535 AD; and Topkapi Palace, a magnificent Ottoman residence. Then wind your way through the maze of interconnecting vaulted passages and more than 6,000 merchant stalls that make up the Grand Bazaar. (BB)
Note: Sultanahmet (Blue Mosque) is a place of active worship. Religious ceremonies might restrict visitors from entering at times. At other times, please obey mosque etiquette.
Note: Hagia Sophia is closed on Mondays and Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays. The city tour of Istanbul will be arranged in accordance with the days they are open. If Hagia Sophia is not available during your stay, we will offer the harem visit in Topkapi Palace instead.

Get to know Vienna’s imperial history during a tour that takes you along the stately Ringstrasse to the beautiful Austrian National Library. Day 16 - Vienna
There can be no exploration of the Danube without a visit to Vienna, which is a city both steeped in history and on the cusp of current trends. Your panoramic city tour showcases all the imperial Habsburg grandeur of the stately Ringstrasse, taking you past the Rathaus (City Hall), Parliament, the Hofburg (Imperial Palace), and the State Opera, among other sights. Leaving the motorcoach, you will start a walking tour through the Hofburg grounds, culminating at the magnificent Baroque State Hall of the Austrian National Library, which is said to be the most beautiful library room in the world. For a more intimate look at this stunning city, “See Vienna as the Viennese Do” walking and riding the subway to discover the daily life of the Viennese in the historic town center. Day 17 - Cruising the Wachau Valley, Melk
Today you’ll cruise the scenic, vineyard-rich Wachau Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage cultural landscape representing one of the most beautiful river valleys in Europe. Then tour Melk’s 900-year-old Benedictine abbey, a masterpiece of Baroque art and architecture situated high atop the granite cliffs of the Danube. The views from the terrace are spectacular, but the splendid frescos, marble, and gilded plaster work of its interior will be the true highlight of your visit. (BB, L, Captain's Welcome Gala)
Day 18 - Passau
Passau boasts a delightful layer of Italian style on top of quintessential German foundations. Explore the well-preserved town on your guided walking tour. Then visit St. Stephan’s Cathedral, home to Europe’s largest pipe organ, to hear a magnificent organ recital. (BB, L, D)

Day 19 - Deggendorf (Theresienthal)
After enjoying an exclusive scenic horse-drawn carriage ride through an authentic village in the Bavarian Forest and enjoying homebaked bread fresh from the oven, you will head for the world-famous glass manufacturer, Theresienthal. Here you will experience the fine art of crystal glassmaking firsthand during a workshop where you will learn all the various steps involved, as well as the extraordinary history of Theresienthal, once the purveyor of the finest crystal to the royal houses of Europe and the Russian czars. Spend your afternoon taking a scenic stroll or bike ride along the Danube and through the small town of Deggendorf. (BB, L, D)
Day 20 - Regensburg
Day 21 - Cruising the Main-Danube Canal, Nuremberg
After cruising the most scenic parts of the Main-Danube Canal, a marvel of modern engineering, visit Nuremberg, an archetypal Medieval German city encircled by mighty defensive walls and red-roofed buildings. Birthplace of Albrecht Dürer and famous for its pocket watches, the city also held the astounding War Crimes Trials after WWII. Discover the sights of Nuremberg during a panoramic tour. Or turn back the pages of history with a guided tour of the city’s most important WWII sites, including the enormous Documentation Center Nazi Party Rally Grounds, the actual site of the Nazi party rallies, and home to the permanent exhibition “Fascination and Terror.” You’ll also visit the newly opened Nuremberg Trials Memoriam which includes Courtroom 600, venue of the Nuremberg Trials that were so instrumental in forging our current ideals of international criminal law. Day 23 - Bamberg
Explore the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bamberg with your guide. See the unique Town Hall, the imperial cathedral, and the fishermen’s village known as “Little Venice.” Shuttle service will be provided between the city and the ship so that you can enjoy leisure time in the afternoon. Day 24 - Würzburg
Today you'll visit the extraordinary Würzburg Residenz, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most opulent extant Baroque palaces. The 300-room palace took nearly 60 years to complete and contains the world’s largest ceiling fresco, created by Venetian painter Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. It also boasts what is often described as the most beautiful staircase in the world. (BB, L, D)
Day 25 - Cruising the Main River, Miltenberg
Spend the morning cruising the spectacular Main River on the way to Miltenberg. Visit historic Miltenberg, a charming Medieval town boasting fairytale half-timbered houses, the famed Crooked House, and the Royal Inn, which has been serving meals since the 17th century. (BB, L, D)
Day 26 - Offenbach (Heidelberg), Rüdesheim
Spend a day in the picturesque city of Heidelberg, which was immortalized in Sigmund Romberg's operetta The Student Prince. Stroll through the charming Old Town en route to magnificent Heidelberg Castle. You’ll see world-famous Heidelberg University—one of the leading intellectual centers of Europe and home to philosophical movements across seven centuries. Later in the evening, enjoy leisure time in Rüdesheim, a celebrated wine town. (BB, D)
Day 27 - Rüdesheim, cruising the romantic Rhine River, Koblenz
Begin your day with scenic cruising along the spectacular Upper Middle Rhine Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After lunch, amble through Koblenz’s picturesque streets while a local expert explains the town’s history. Or tour Marksburg Castle, which is virtually unchanged from Medieval times. Inhabited for over 700 years, it is one of the prime structures of the Rhinegau and is the only hill castle that has never been destroyed. (BB, L, D)
Day 28 - Traben-Trarbach, Bernkastel
Enjoy a morning at leisure in the romantic twin town of Traben-Trarbach. Then cruise past the breathtaking, vine-covered slopes and picturesque villages that line the Moselle River. Arrive in Bernkastel, which boasts over 500 years of history as a winemaking capital, and savor delectable Rieslings from local vineyards. (BB, L, Captain’s Farewell Dinner)

Day 29 - Trier/Konz, transfer to Paris
Enjoy a morning tour of Germany's oldest city. Also called the second Rome, Trier showcases the impressive Porta Nigra and Emperor Constantine’s Throne Room, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites. After lunch, travel by motorcoach from Trier to Paris. (BB)

Your panoramic city tour begins with a drive up the grand boulevard Champs-Élysées, passing the Arc de Triomphe. Stop at the Champs de Mars for an opportunity to photograph the Eiffel Tower before continuing to Place Vendôme, Hôtel de Ville, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Latin Quarter. Then go on to Les Invalides, the Louvre courtyard, and Luxembourg Gardens, where you will see a slice of daily Parisian life. Or choose a walking tour through the “Heart of Paris.” From the magnificent Opera House to the Comédie Française, you’ll stroll along the narrow streets of the oldest residential districts of Paris.
