Day 1 - Prague
Arrive at Prague Ruzyne International Airport where you will be transferred to the hotel.
Day 2 - Prague

Beauty and drama abound in the “City of Spires.” A mixture of
architectural styles from Gothic and Renaissance to Baroque and Art
Nouveau make up this fairytale city. Enjoy a panoramic city tour,
taking in such places as the State Opera House, Wenceslas Square,
Charles Bridge, and the avant-garde Frank Gehry- and Vlado
Milunic-designed Dancing House, before arriving at Prague Castle. Here,
you’ll visit St. Vitus Cathedral, Vladislav Hall, and Golden
Lane—former home of the city’s goldsmiths. Take in the striking view of
Prague as you walk down the stairs of Castle Hill. You’ll cross Charles
Bridge on foot, diving into a maze of narrow alleys that end at
beautiful Old Town Square with Tyn Church and the famous astronomical
clock. Or explore Jewish Prague on a walking tour of Josefov, the
city’s old Jewish quarter, including Europe’s oldest surviving Jewish
cemetery; Old New Synagogue, Europe’s oldest active synagogue; and

Day 3 - Prague, transfer to Nuremberg
Travel by motorcoach from Prague to Nuremberg, where you will board your Uniworld ship. (BB, D)
Day 4 - Nuremberg, cruising the Main-Danube Canal

Today you'll enjoy a panoramic tour of Nuremberg—an archetypal Medieval
German city
encircled by defensive walls and red-roofed buildings. Birthplace of
Albrecht
Dürer and famous for its pocket watches, Nuremberg was also home to the
astounding post-WWII War Crimes Trials. After your city tour, during
which you’ll take in Kaiserburg Castle and the famous town wall with
its towers, you will visit Nuremberg’s historic Hesperides Gardens,
which boast Italian-style planting. From the tranquil gardens, you will
move on to equally peaceful St. John’s Cemetery, one of Europe’s most
famous cemeteries, which is known for the opulent flower arrangements
adorning its graves. Or turn back the pages of history with a guided
tour of the city’s most important WWII sites, including the enormous
Documentation Center Nazi Party Rally Grounds, the actual site of the
Nazi party rallies, with its permanent exhibition “Fascination and
Terror.” You’ll also visit the newly opened Nuremberg Trials Memoriam,
including Courtroom 600, venue of the Nuremberg Trials that were so
instrumental in forging our current ideals of international criminal
law. In the evening, hop back onboard your ship and enjoy scenic

Day 5 - Hassfurt (Bamberg), cruising the Main River

Heritage city of Bamberg, which you will explore on a guided stroll
after breakfast. Spend time at the four-winged
New Residence, the ornate former home of Bamberg’s prince-bishops, and
take in the spectacular panoramic views of Bamberg provided by the New
Residence's lovely Baroque rose gardens. Then spend the afternoon

Day 6 - Würzburg

Würzburg Residenz is an immaculate example of Baroque architecture and
a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built and decorated in the
18th century, this grand palace features the largest ceiling fresco in

a private wine tasting of fabulous Franconian wines in the historic
Residenz cellars. Or tour Würzburg, one of the loveliest Baroque cities

Day 7 - Miltenberg, cruising the Main River, Aschaffenburg

Begin your day with a walking tour of Miltenberg, a Medieval gem known
as the “Pearl of the Main River,” with 14th- and 15th-century
half-timbered houses that seem lifted straight out of the pages of a
fairytale. Then it’s on to Schloss Kleinheubach, an ambitious
mini-Versailles with exquisite grounds built in the early 18th century.
You will take a private guided tour of the estate with a member of the

Awaken in Aschaffenburg, sometimes called the “Bavarian Nice” for its
mild climate and Mediterranean gardens. In the mid-19th century, King
Ludwig I of Bavaria chose to build a residence in Aschaffenburg, and
after your walking tour introduces you to the town’s many charms, you
will understand why. King Ludwig’s passion for the ancient world led
him to build a perfect replica of a Roman house, the Pompeianum, next
to Aschaffenburg’s Johannisburg Castle, one of Germany’s grandest
Renaissance palace complexes. Explore the magnificent Mediterranean
landscape surrounding the Pompeianum and castle before heading back to

Day 12 - Königswinter, cruising the romantic Rhine River

This morning you'll arrive in the quaint village of Königswinter, which lies at the foot of
the Siebengebirge. We are entering the romantic Rhine, where many more
than Siebengebirge (seven mountains) provide the dramatic backdrop to
this storybook part of Germany. It is here that Siegfried slew the
dragon and the sinister Hagen sank the treasure in the Rhine—a legend
immortalized in Wagner’s Der Ring der Nibelungen.
Your ride on the nostalgic cogwheel rail to the dragon’s former lair,
Drachenfels (Dragon Rock), takes you on an exclusive visit to Castle
Drachenfels, which boasts a stunning panoramic view of the Rhine Valley. In the afternoon you'll
