Day 1 - Paris
Arrive at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport where you will be transferred to the hotel.
Day 2 - Paris

Your panoramic city tour begins with a drive up the grand boulevard Champs-Élysées, passing the Arc de Triomphe. Stop at the Champs de Mars for an opportunity to photograph the Eiffel Tower before continuing to Place Vendôme, Hôtel de Ville, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Latin Quarter. Then go on to Les Invalides, the Louvre courtyard, and Luxembourg Gardens, where you will see a slice of daily Parisian life. Day 8 - Miltenberg

Day 9 - Würzburg
Featured Excursion: Würzburg Residenz visit
Awaken in Würzburg, where you will visit the extraordinary Würzburg Residenz, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most opulent extant Baroque palaces. The 300-room palace took nearly 60 years to complete and contains the world’s largest ceiling fresco, created by Venetian painter Giovanni Battista Tiepolo, as well as what is often described as the most beautiful staircase in the world. Day 10 - Bamberg

Explore the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bamberg with your guide. See the unique Town Hall, the Imperial Cathedral, and the fishermen’s village known as “Little Venice.” Shuttle service will be provided between the city and the ship so that you can enjoy leisure time in the afternoon. Day 11 - Nuremberg
In the early morning, the ship will have docked in Nuremberg, an archetypal German Medieval city enriched by defensive walls and red-roofed buildings. Nuremberg is the second largest city in Bavaria and home to world-renowned gingerbread, called lebkuchen, and tiny, piquant sausages. Nuremberg enjoyed its status as a free-town of the Holy Roman Empire beginning in 1219 and, like many such cities, prospered greatly, attracting a number of artists and intellectuals who made it one of the cultural centers of Europe.
There’s much to see in Nuremberg, and you have the entire day at your leisure to explore. Ask your Cruise Manager for suggestions. See historical sites, wander through museums, and try some of the delicious sausages or gingerbread. A motorcoach will be provided to take you from the ship to town.
Also today, some of your fellow passengers will be leaving the ship to return home, and some new passengers will be coming onboard. Please offer them a warm welcome as you meet them during the welcome briefing. (BB, L, D)
Day 12 - Roth (Nuremberg), cruising the Main-Danube Canal

Board a motorcoach for the tour of Nuremberg, an archetypal German Medieval city enriched by defensive walls and red-roofed buildings. Nuremberg is the second-largest city in Bavaria and home to world-renowned gingerbread, called lebkuchen. The city enjoyed its status as a free town of the Holy Roman Empire beginning in 1219 and, like many such places, prospered greatly—so much so that during the days before, during, and after the Renaissance, Nuremberg attracted a number of artists and intellectuals, making it one of the cultural centers of Europe.
No visit can be made to Nuremberg without acknowledging a dark chapter from the city’s 20th-century history. The city was the reluctant regional headquarters of the Nazis.You will see the grounds where filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl immortalized Hitler during his infamous parades and rallies, including the unfinished Roman coliseum, Kongresshalle. As you ride around Nuremberg, you’ll be amazed by how many Medieval fortifications still exist. Gateway towers rise up along the rampart walls around the city. At the crown of the Altstadt (Old Town) stand the three complexes of the Kaiserburg district, including the Imperial Castle and Burgraves’ Castle. Here, the kings and emperors of Germany resided from 1050 to 1571. You will stroll through the castle gardens and enjoy breathtaking views of the city. From here, you’ll walk into the Old Town. Just as people have done for centuries, you’ll gather around the stone pyramid of the Beautiful Fountain, dating back to 1396 and located in the center of the Marktplatz (Market Square).
The ship departs Nuremberg after lunch. Prepare for the exciting transit through the most impressive section of one of the modern marvels of our age—the Main-Danube Canal. This formidable piece of engineering allows ships of all shapes and sizes to readily travel this region from Amsterdam to the shores of the Black Sea.

Day 13 - Regensburg
Featured Excursion: Regensburg walking tour
Regensburg, one of the finest Medieval towns in Europe, captures 2,000
years of living history with outstanding manmade monuments like the
12th-century Stone Bridge and the towering Gothic cathedral. Your
walking tour takes you past the architectural treasures of Old Town as
well as the Cathedral of St. Peter, which boasts magnificent 14th-century
stained glass windows. Genuine Bavarian hospitality adds to the vibrant

Day 14 - Deggendorf, (Theresienthal), Passau
Featured Excursions: Bavarian Forest horse-drawn carriage ride and Theresienthal visit
After enjoying an exclusive scenic horse-drawn carriage ride through an
authentic village in the Bavarian Forest and enjoying homebaked bread
fresh from the oven, you will head for the world-famous glass
manufacturer, Theresienthal. Here you will experience the fine art of
crystal glassmaking firsthand during a workshop where you will learn
all the various steps involved, as well as the extraordinary history of
Theresienthal, once the purveyor of the finest crystal to the royal
houses of Europe and the Russian czars. Spend your afternoon taking a
scenic stroll or bike ride along the Danube and through the small town

Day 15 - Passau

Passau boasts a delightful layer of Italian style on top of
quintessential German foundations. Explore the well-preserved town on

Day 16 - Melk

Today you’ll tour Melk’s 900-year-old
Benedictine abbey, a masterpiece of Baroque art and architecture
situated high atop the granite cliffs of the Danube. The views from the
terrace are spectacular, but the splendid frescos, marble, and gilded
plaster work of its interior will be the true highlight of your visit.
Then cruise the scenic, vineyard-rich Wachau Valley, a UNESCO
World Heritage cultural landscape and one of the most

Day 17 - Vienna

There can be no exploration of the Danube without a visit to Vienna,
a city both steeped in history and on the cusp of current
trends. Your panoramic city tour showcases all the imperial Habsburg
grandeur of the stately Ringstrasse, taking you past the Rathaus (City
Hall), Parliament, the Hofburg (Imperial Palace), and the State Opera,
among other sights. Leaving the motorcoach, you will start a walking
tour through the Hofburg grounds, culminating at the magnificent
Baroque State Hall of the Austrian National Library, which is said to
be the most beautiful library room in the world. For a more intimate
look at this stunning city, “See Vienna as the Viennese Do,” walking and
riding the subway to discover the daily life of the Viennese in the
historic town center. Top off your tour with a stop at a traditional
